Mark time, March!

It's been a dragging month. It seemed like eternity to reach the last day. *sigh*

March is one of the months that I least like. It goes hand-in-hand with a) hardship/stress, i.e. last-minute compliance with school requirements ('though now I am no longer affected), b) goodbyes/ parting ways, i.e. graduation, and c) heatwave, i.e. summer is here! More so, 31 days is so loooooong.

But what the heck! It's the last day of March! *yey*

I'm so looking forward to tomorrow. Hmmmm......APRIL!

Psalms 23:1-6

As the season of Lent draws near, here's something to reflect on:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff--they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.

Welcome to the Dark Side!

Lately, the weather's been so erratic as the stock market trading. Cloudy in the morning, sunny by lunchtime, then suddenly it pours heavily just after lunch persisting for maybe 2 hours then dries up. Come night time to midnight, the air beomes humid and warm, no sign of wind. Past midnight, there may be isolated rainshowers and strong winds. It then stops. Come morning, no trace whatsoever...as if nothing took place.

What's happening to the world? *sigh* I can't take it!

Yes! Blame it on global warming...but is that the only thing we can do? Rant, rant and rant...

Let us support the EARTH HOUR by switching our lights off tonight!

Let's all conserve energy! SEE YOU!

(hey, how can i see you if the lights are shut?)

Go F1!

I just said yesterday that "I feel like abstaining from reading the newspaper from now on". The problem is: I CANNOT! It has been my routine every lunchtime (got no time during breakfast). The news today, however, is comparatively sheer to handle and more so, informative. It mentions the early bird ticket packages of the F1 Singapore GP. *grin*

Interested or not I'm sharing it anyway. As they say: "The early bird catches the worm." Here's the link to the site (ticketing information):

To watch or not to watch......that is the question?

Troubled

I feel like abstaining from reading the newspaper from now on. There hasn't been any positive news lately considering semi-filtered news on this side of the world and news feed elsewhere. Recession, mishap, sabotage, murder, lay-off, protests, suicide, shoot-out etcetera all flodding the front page. There's nothing informative to read except the obituary I guess, the movie/TV guide, buy and sell and the centerfold featuring some goodies on promotion at the famous hypermart. Well, I don't deny the fact that I love scrutinizing this page. On the look out for baby stuff on sale *wink*

With everything that's going on, I'm just worried for the future welfare of Kimi. And who won't? I couldn't imagine him getting acclimatized to such a chaotic and unhealthy realm after several years of being cautiously sheltered (not pampered). "Of course, Eileen, he'll be able to cope." He should be wiser by then, BUT...

Excuse the rant, I guess I am just paranoid. :-(

Oh, can someone please send me a photo of Gloria ASAP? I need a practicel joke.

Well, I just found this, now I feel better. *grin*

Baguio City.....then

Here's a good find, while I was group hopping on Facebook. I know this had been circulating through our emails for ages, yet, I still would want to make it a topic (so I can shelter it in my archives and recall when I need to *wink*)

Indeed, a fun read for BAGUIO people and the kaypohs a.k.a. busy bodies ;)

"You Grew Up in Baguio if..."

a view from The Manor, CJH (Baguio City);

I still prefer the vintage John Hay no doubt!

...how I wish..how I wish... *sighs*

The Fire Snake

Lately, aside from being a partial couch potato, I spend idle time answering ridiculous but fun trivia challenges of Facebook while toggling the uber-lative features of Friendster and rejuvenating my and Kimi's pages at Multiply.

I guess this is a clear byproduct of boredom. T-H-I-S equals pointless netsurfing. See, I can even freely manage to search for my horoscope? Hmmm....waste of time? Not really. I'm pretty sure, there would be a number out there who'd be interested.

Hello? Fire Snakes anyone? calling all the 1977 babies.. *wink*

Appreciation

A forwarded email worth sharing...

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more.

No more hugs,

no more special moments to celebrate together,

no more phone calls just to chat,

no more 'just one minute.'

Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away,

never to return before we can say good-bye,

say 'I LOVE YOU'

So while we have it, it's best we love it,

care for it, fix it when it's broken

and heal it when it's sick.

This is true for marriage ... And old cars ...

And children with bad report cards ...

and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents.

We keep them because they are worth it,

because we are worth it.

Some things we keep ---

like a best friend who moved away or a..

...classmate we grew up with.

There are just some things that make us happy,

no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.

And so, we keep them close!

Suppose one morning you never wake up,

do all your friends know you love them?

I was thinking...

I could die today,

tomorrow or next week,

and I wondered if

I had any wounds needing to be healed,

friendships that needed rekindling or

three words needing to be said.

Let every one of your friends know you love them.

Even if you think they don't love you back,

you would be amazed at what those three little words

and a smile can do.

And just in case GOD calls me home

I LOVE YOU !!!

Live today to the fullest, because tomorrow is not promised.

A kalesa-driven life

I kinda lost touch with blogging. My mind's still on vacation and it couldn't accrue its memory ;) 5% may be attributed to incapacitation and 95% to seclusion. *excuses*excuses*

I guess, for the time being, I'd rather bloghop than blog. WHY?

Firstly, everything seemed to be robotic lately. Home-Work-Home-Work...dot..dot..dot. Eat-Sleep-Eat-Sleep...dot..dot..dot.

Nothing that significant to share...

...OR...

...that significant thing to share cannot be shared yet (kasi ang sabi nila, baka daw maudlot)

Secondly, I am busy with "officework" lately. Scan-Email-Phonecall-Chat-Scan-Email-Phonecall-Chat...dot..dot..dot.

Hmmm....I guess I can be a part-timer on this. I can make lots of money alternatively.

And lastly, my boys are not with me as of the moment *sigh*

Hence, the 95%.

PS. I shall have good news soon..soon..

It's raining men.....NOT!

*sigh*

The rains are back. It maybe warm here, but the air's uber humid. Hello fungus! I guess, this is where the dehumidifiers become handy. I wondered before why the need. I've realized it's a MUST. Or the cheaper silica gel may also be used. Very good for the dry box! (ask Hubi, he's already an expert)

Luckily, the winds have not waned. Clothes will never be damp for a few days unlike in Baguio na yun talaga ang kalaban pag nagsimula na ang pag-ulan ulan.

Despite the rains, I rarely carry an umbrella. I just make my way through the shaded walkways and carparks. Walang mintis! Makakarating ako sa bahay, wala ni gapatak.

insert *rain,rain go away*
